About Nemesis Entertainment
Nemesis Entertainment is an all-ages and 21+ concert
production, booking and promotion company that specializes in discovering and
working with local talent to get them booked for shows at quality live music
venues and events in their hometown – and, eventually, beyond. By utilizing
our relationships with dozens of venues across the country, and within the
music industry, we are able to provide unique opportunities for exposure and
growth for up-and-coming musicians.
Our Goal
At Nemesis we recognize that each party involved in
the making of a successful show – the bands, their fans, the promoter, and
the venue – have their own particular priorities and interests. In general,
bands want to have their music heard, to be treated with respect, and to be
compensated fairly for their contributions to a show. Venues, producers,
promoters…etc. for the most part understand and work toward accommodating the
acts they work with, but the traditional wisdom is that, at the end of the
day, these parties are business entities that are interested in the bottom
line first, and other considerations second.
At Nemesis our goal is to achieve the greatest harmony
between the priorities and interests of everyone involved with our shows.
That means communicating clearly with artists, paying them fairly, and
keeping their needs a top priority always. That means working tirelessly,
creatively and with integrity to offer artists unique and rewarding
performance opportunities. That means pursuing win-wins wherever possible,
and creating real rather than illusory value for the artists and venues we
work with.
The Nemesis Advantage
We understand that artists have many options when it
comes to shows, and that we may not be the best option for every act.
However, Nemesis Entertainment offers a number of advantages over other
concert production and booking companies that we feel make us an extremely
competitive option:
* All of our shows are paying gigs. There are no costs
or fees involved with playing a Nemesis show.
* While some concert production companies have grown to
such a size that they literally book every act that wants to play, with
little to no consideration regarding the composition of the bill – for
example, booking hip hop acts with heavy metal bands – Nemesis understands
that acts want to play with similar-sounding acts.
* Again, while the size of some concert production
companies has stunted their ability to offer responsive and personable
communication with the acts they work with, sometimes going as far as never
even talking to the acts over the phone, Nemesis is all about developing
quality relationships with the acts we work with. This is because we do not
view artists as dollar signs, but rather as people with real dreams and
ambitions.
* In general, Nemesis produces shows at venues that
are a notch above those offered by other concert production companies. This
is because we are not interested in securing the cheapest venue to generate
the greatest profit, but rather we understand that booking our acts at
quality venues is vital to both their success as performers and our success
as a reputable company.
